Walt Disney Studios shared the trailer for the controversial production ‘Snow White,’ noting on X: “Magic mirror on the wall, show us the story that started it all Disney’s #SnowWhite is only in theaters March 21, 2025.”

Rachel Zegler has been receiving backlash ever since she was cast as ‘Snow White.’

Fans commented under the post on X as follows:

“Sorry Disney, as a Trump voter I am never going to pay money to see a movie staring someone who hopes I ‘never know peace’ I look forward to this movie losing 100 million dollars.”

“Why’d they cast such a miserably unattractive actress as ‘Snow White,’ who is supposed to be gorgeous?!”

“Everything looks so fake”

Fans of the classic story criticized the choice of Zegler to play ‘Snow White’ as a Latina actress. This was because the character in the 1937 animated movie is known for having “skin as white as snow.” Zegler explained that her version in the live-action remake got the name as a reminder of her survival through a snowstorm as a baby.

“For being brown, for having brown skin, for playing ‘Snow White.’ There was a lot of harassment from a certain group of people—they were showing up at my apartment and screaming profanities,” the actress revealed.

Rachel Zegler has also faced backlash for her past harsh statements about Donald Trump winning the election.
