Dr. Anthony Fauci, the leading public health expert on the White House, reacted Brad Pitt, being nominated for the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series Emmy for playing him on ‘Saturday Night Live.’
One of the lead members of the Trump administration’s White House Coronavirus Task Force, Dr. Fauci spoke to Associated Press and said regarding Pitt’s performance on SNL:
“The only thing I can say, it’s somewhat surrealistic. I don’t get distracted by that. I have to really focus like a laser beam on the things that I’m responsible for. I think that’s kind of interesting, it’s a little bit strange that that’s going on… But one thing for sure: It doesn’t go to my head, because I don’t pay much attention to it.”
However, Dr. had praised him earlier on Telemundo’s Un Nuevo Día:
“I think he did great. I’m a great fan of Brad Pitt, and that’s the reason why, when people ask me who I would like to play me, I mention Brad Pitt. He’s one of my favorite actors.”
Even he had stated that being played by Pitt would be a great pleasure for him. He had also added the followings:
“I think he showed that he is really a classy guy when, in the end, he took off his hair and thanked me and all of the health care workers. So, not only is he a really great actor, but he is actually a classy person.”
Here is the Fauci’s interview.
