Drew Barrymore Gets In Touch With The Family Members She Didn’t Know Via Movies

The recipient of countless accolades, including a Golden Globe, a Screen Actors Guild Award, actress Drew Barrymore, showed off how she comes into connection with members of the Barrymore family of actors.

The granddaughter of John Barrymore uploaded a series of videos of Barrymore’s movies through Instagram and captioned it:

“#THEBARRYMORES it’s John Barrymore day on TCM and I have been marveling all morning!”

As known, Drew Barrymore is a member of the American acting family, The Barrymore family that is the inspiration of a Broadway play titled, ‘The Royal Family.’

“I am with my family, who I love so so much. And although I didn’t know them, thanks to this network, they come and visit me! I feel this wonderful connection to them, and I love it when they appear like hedonistic, artistic angels in my home.”

The ‘Grey Gardens’ star, Barrymore continued her message by praising her family heritage:

“Here is to everyone’s family in the world that helped shape them into who they are. By genetics, trade, or behavior! May we kick the bad and keep the good! And know we are a part of a heritage we can’t control but we can appreciate it! And although I wish I had gotten to know them, and tell them I love them, I know I am so lucky to have them stop by and say hello… On my tiny kitchen TV.”

Following the post, Gwyneth Paltrow commented:

“This is WILD”
