One of the highest-paid actors of Hollywood, Dwayne Johnson is ready for another collaboration with DC!
On May 21, Johnson, who is gearing up to appear as the title character in the upcoming DC superhero film ‘Black Adam,’ fired up his social media accounts so as to announce that he has been set to voice ‘Krypto the Super-Dog‘ in the highly-anticipated Warner Bros. animated movie ‘DC League of Super-Pets.’
Johnson, who has been expressing his satisfaction to become a part of the superhero film through his social media posts for weeks, took to his verified Instagram to deliver the exciting news. The actor first released a screenshot of the DEADLINE report titled “Dwayne Johnson To Star As Krypto The Superdog In Animated ‘DC League of Super-Pets’; Seven Bucks Producing” and then confirmed the news with the following words:
“Big news as I know the fun and joy this movie will bring families worldwide. Thank you to our long-time partners at Warner Bros & DC Comics as well as our writer/director Jared Stern – a very talented man whom I’ve really enjoyed collaborating with.”
By referring to his upcoming role as ‘Black Adam,’ the former wrestler thanked for the privilege provided by DC Comics Universe:
“From becoming Black Adam to now becoming Superman’s dog, Krypto it’s a privilege to help build out our exciting @DCComics Universe.”
At the end of his message, The Rock also heralded that they have “also got a killer cast lined up for this one – big announcement coming.”
According to news obtained by DEADLINE, the animated film written and directed by Jared Stern will be out on May 20, 2022.
