Dwayne Johnson Causes Big Drama On ‘Red One’ Set

Rumor has it that he’s been frequently late to the set, and this had a negative impact on the movie’s timeline and finances.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is at the center of some trouble on the set of his new movie.

Reports say that Johnson was arriving very late to ‘Red One’ set — sometimes more than eight hours after he was supposed to be there. He caused changes to the shooting schedule, and there are talks that movie’s release date may change.

Insiders told The Wrap that these delays made ‘Red One’ cost more than planned: the final budget hits over $250 million. They said that Dwayne’s behavior was what added to the costs.

There are some odd details as well. It’s said Johnson uses a water bottle instead of using a regular bathroom, and then someone has to take care of it.

Amazon MGM Says Everything Is Fine

Amazon MGM told TheWrap that Dwayne Johnson and his Seven Bucks Production are great to work with. They also said that people who saw parts of the movie really liked it.

Johnson’s been pretty busy. After a not-so-great experience with ‘Black Adam,’ he’s back into wrestling. He’s also planning to return to ‘Fast & Furious.’

‘Red One’ is made by Amazon MGM Studios. It is about a big and tough elf who teams up with a skilled tracker to save Santa Claus and Christmas. It’s supposed to come out on November 15th and stars Chris Evans and J.K. Simmons.
