Actor Dwayne Johnson, also known as ‘The Rock,’ showed his support publicly to Democratic candidate Joe Biden and vice presidential partner Kamala Harris.
The Rock, who has endorsed a political candidate for the first time in his life, did an interview with Biden and Harris on his social media, and called out his followers to vote. He posted a seven and a half minute announcement video which he began in as “We gotta talk about voting” and told of the importance of voting in the critical 2020 presidential election. He also said in the video:
“… as a registered Independent for years now with centrist ideologies, I do feel that Vice President Biden and Senator Harris are the best choice to lead our country, and I am endorsing them to become President, and Vice President, of our United States.”
The actor also captioned the video as follows:
“It’s always important to identify the conversations that really matter – and this conversation is critical – voting. All of us getting out there to cast our vote for who we want. Our voice. Our power. And keep this in mind, no matter how strongly your opinion may differ from mine, it’s always gonna be ok. You can yell all you want, but I’m not blocking you from our conversation. I won’t even yell back.😉”
At the end of his message, the actor invited his 199 million followers to join the conversation with Biden and Harris.
“Because we all have work to do, now let’s talk about VOTING!”
