Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson, who is gearing up to appear as ‘Black Adam‘ in an upcoming DC Comic film, made his fans and followers a little bit curious about his update on his body; On April 27, the star jumped into his verified Instagram account with millions of followers and released a couple of photos of himself getting “quite more tattoos.”
Johnson, also known as “The Rock,” stated in the caption section that he and his Venezuela-based tattoo artist Yomico Moreno “collabrated closely to land the right design, that told the right story and created a real emotion” for almost a year. Underneath the photos in which the star is seen getting a huge tribal tattoo at Moreno’s studio in Brooklyn, Johnson wrote the following message as a caption:
“Our mana & energy is very strong as my tattoo artist @yomicoart goes needle to skin. Yomico is a supremely talented hyper-realistic tattoo artist and it’s been a pleasure exploring the mysteries of life, death and infinite energy & power thru our tattooing.”
Describing tattooing as “symbolic storytelling,” The Rock also unveiled in his message that he has over hours 100 of tattooing on his body. The star, who is also known with his giant muscles and tens of tattoos, said that he is grateful for every second of it even though it is quite painful.
Though he shared a series of shots from the tattoo session, Johnson did not show off his new ink in full; however, he wrote that he is looking forward to sharing the final design with his fans and followers all later this week.
What’s more, Moreno also shared those moments through his verified social media accounts. Along with the photos seeing them working on the tattoo, he thanked the ‘Jumanji’ actor for “the trust and for believing in this art brother.” He also added:
“Without a doubt art is and will always be the most beautiful way to connect people, throughout my career I’ve had the joy of seeing the human side of those I’ve worked with and this time it was with this Big Boy @therock we started a new journey.”
