Echo’s Alaqua Cox Hopes For The Avengers Crossover

Cox wants her character to join the Avengers and fight villains like the Green Goblin.

Alaqua Cox wants Maya Lopez to come across The Avengers at some point.

In a recent chat with Screen Rant, Cox shared what could happen in ‘Echo’s second season. It seems she’s hoping Maya can join forces with the Avengers:

“I would hope that she’s able to cross paths with other superheroes as well, for example, the Avengers. That would be a dream come true if she was able to meet any of the Avengers or even if she was in ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ We just don’t know. I’d like to see any of those possibilities.”

Cox also has some ideas about what Maya would do next. She says she’d like ‘Echo’ to tell Maya’s complete family story and add a plot about getting revenge. She even added the Green Goblin to this scenario:

“[I’d like more of] Maya’s family. I wouldn’t mind if they went to New York City and all got revenge on those people that have hurt them and also used the powers of their ancestors that they have. I think that’d be a cool storyline. And the Green Goblin. That would be pretty cool. I think I’d like to face the Green Goblin.”

She Still Prefers Meeting Hulk First

Cox previously told Deadline she wants Maya to work with the Avengers. She said it would be awesome to team up with Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk:

“Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if Maya joined the Avengers. I think it would be so amazing to cross paths with other superheroes. I would love that. I think would be very fun. I think [it would] be great to work with Mark Ruffalo, the Hulk.”

Cox added that she likes Ruffalo as a person as well:

“I love him as an actor and a person because Mark is a huge advocate for Indigenous women. And he’s from Wisconsin, and I’m from Wisconsin. So we have that in common. But Mark is just an amazing advocate for women, and I think it’d be amazing to work with him. I think that we would have a lot of things to talk about. I can just imagine those conversations already.”

‘Echo’ season 1 is currently available to stream on Disney+.
