Speaking to The Post Millennial, Carano shared her views on the importance of her lawsuit:
“I’m happy that like, people are going to actually have to dig in and take my situation seriously, and they’re going to have to understand, when they’re looking through all this, what their company was doing. And by looking through that, they’re going to have to make adjustments so that it’s gonna make it that much harder for it to happen to the next person. And that’s why what I’m doing is important.”
The Actress’ Praise For Elon Musk’s Help
In her fight against Disney, Carano has found an ally in the SpaceX billionaire. She praised his decision to support her, drawing a parallel between him and Batman:
“A lot of people, billionaires, put their money wherever they put it, but to put your money into defending people that have been done wrong is such a noble cause. It’s like Elon Musk is some kind of Batman.”
The lawsuit itself sees Carano seeking damages and a chance to reprise her role in the ‘Star Wars’ series. This comes after Lucasfilm called her social media remarks ‘abhorrent and unacceptable.’

Following her lawsuit, Carano shared her wish to clean her name in an X statement, writing:
“As for me, I would love to pick up where I left off & continue my journey of creating & participating in story-telling, which is my utmost passion & everything I worked so hard for. It has been difficult to move forward with the lies & labels stuck on me, backed & encouraged by the most powerful entertainment company in the world. I am grateful [Elon Musk] has come to my defense in such a powerful way & look forward to clearing my name.”
The actress’ lawsuit includes allegations of wrongful discharge and sex discrimination, pointing out an inequality in treatment between her and her male co-star, Pedro Pascal, over their respective social media posts.
