Emilia Clarke, who gained great attention for her role as ‘Daenerys Targaryen’ in HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ uploaded a series of photos on her personal Instagram page and added a touching message for her late father Peter Clarke as well.
Regarding her father, who was a theatre sound engineer, the actress wrote:
“I was lucky enough to have the best dad in the entire world, (sorry other dads but it’s true) and he was a Sound Designer for the theatre, that gave me backstage access to a magical world of make-believe that made me who I am today.”
As known Clarke studied at the Drama Centre London and worked as a stage actress for years. She also mentioned the contributions that her father did to her acting career.
Then, ‘Me Before You’ actress added by referring to her late father:
“The true spellbinding magic that is telling stories on stage has been my life’s blood passed down through my darling dad and I cannot fathom a world where this art form does not exist.”
One of the 100 most influential people in the world, Clarke spoke of the foundation, Save The Hearts:
“#savethearts has never been more important, we need it, we need it, we need it, without stories to tell I don’t know how we can find our own places of safety and escapism, empathy and love.”
The Emmy Award-nominated actress ended her message as follows:
“I know if my favourite human in the world, my dad, were alive today he would be telling me the exact same thing. For him, for all the creatives and crews it takes to tell an audience a story in whatever form they choose, let’s #savethearts #❤”
