Model and actor Lily Collins, who recently appeared in David Fincher‘s highly-expected film, ‘Mank,’ updated her Instagram feed on the day of the inauguration of Joe Biden with a TBT photo that sees her in the middle of the street in an emergency blanket, and she revealed that she had stayed out on the street to witness Barack’s Obama’s inauguration.
Alongside the said photo, in which she seems highly cold, the ‘Emily in Paris‘ star wrote the following message as a caption:
“This is me at @barackobama’s inauguration in 2008 when I was reporting on the big day for Nickelodeon. It was freezing (hence being bundled up in emergency blankets!), but nothing was going to stop me from embracing such a monumental moment.”
The actor, who is openly supporting Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the previous presidential election, then added that even she was at 18, she could really understand what it meant Obama’s inauguration for all the nation and Americans.
Stating she is feeling the same excitement for Joe Biden & Kamala Harris, the 31-year-old stated she is thrilled to see a new administration. She went on to say:
“President @joebiden and Vice President @kamalaharris — take office and start paving the way towards a brighter future. Hopeful that this is the beginning of some very good and necessary change…”
As known, celebrated the victory of Biden and Harris with series of Instagram photos, Collins had played a kind of key role in encouraging people to vote. As a well-known Hollywood star, made multiple announcements through social media and she highlighted that voting is a way of caring about “peace, equality, women’s rights, education, free speech.”
