In 2020, Emmys Presenters will put on a black complete hazmat suit designed to look like a ‘formal’ tuxedo in order to hand out awards as safely as possible during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Emmys producers released first-look photos of the garbage-bag-black suit and added:
“Not only is this a fun and irreverent visual, but it also ensures the health and safety of all of our winners and the presenter by following all of the health and safety protocols with a twist.”
The hazmat suits have been designed by the well-known designer Katja Cahill, who is familiar with dressing presenters at the Oscars, and executive producer Guy Carrington. According to news released by multiple sources, these tuxedo hazmat suits are keeping the trophy presenters safe and classy during the 72nd Emmys. As known, the presenters will visit the homes of the winners to hand out the awards.
The most unusual Emmys ceremony will be hosted by comedian & actor Jimmy Kimmel. The show will be presented on FXX, on Saturday, Sept 19 at 5:00 PM PDT / 8:00 PM EDT.
