‘The Young and the Restless’ star Eva Longoria took Instagram on June 16 and criticized the ABC (American Broadcasting Company) to have canceled the TV series ‘The Baker And The Beauty.’
Eva Longoria, who is most known for her role as ‘Gabrielle Solis’ on the well-known television series ‘Desperate Housewives’ interpreted this cancelation as a piece of bad news for the Latin community because of the series’ cast composed of Latin artists.
Following to sharing a photo of the cast, Longoria wrote:
“Well I’m sure you heard that @abcnetwork cancelled @bakerandthebeauty yet another show with an entire Latino cast! This is bad news for the Latino community! Why doesn’t @abcnetwork give it more of a chance for our gente to find the show?!
Then 45-year-old actress called for people to speak over Latin representation on TVs:
“And ‘gente’ where are you guys? Show up and get loud. Representation matters on television! This was a sweet show about a good family! And one of the only Latino shows out there! We need this show to find another home! Show your support with the hashtags below and let’s flex our community power!”
