‘Desperate Housewives’ alum Eva Longoria took to her verified Instagram account the other day to make a movie recommendation. Longoria shared the official poster of the brand new comedy ‘Half Brothers‘ and told her fans and followers that the movie must be seen.
Regarding the film, directed by Luke Greenfield and screenplay by Eduardo Cisneros and Jason Shuman, Longoria wrote on Instagram:
“Hey y’all! Mi hermano @luisgerardom is in the new movie HALF BROTHERS! So so so funny! Don’t miss it!”
Alongside the photo, the actor also released an official trailer for the film. Longoria, who recently appeared in ‘Sylvie’s Love‘ as ‘Carmen,’ added that the film can be seen in theatres under the COVID-19 safety rules; it is also available On Demand.
‘Half Brothers,’ starring Luis Gerardo Méndez (as ‘Renato’), Connor Del Rio (as ‘Asher’), Vincent Spano (as ‘Mr. B’), José Zúñiga (as ‘Evaristo’), Pia Watson (as ‘Pamela’), Juan Pablo Espinosa (as ‘Flavio’) and Jwaundace Candece (as ‘Doris’), was released through Focus Features, on December 4.
The film, which centers on a young man, who learns he has a half-brother when he travels to visit his dying father, received generally unfavorable reviews according to Metacritic despite Longoria’s praise. Besides, some of Longoria’s followers on Instagram said that speaking totally English as members of a Mexican family throughout the film, is kind of strange.
