Eva Mendes, who has been marked as one of the most beautiful artists of Hollywood, revealed that she had a quite “weird” perception regarding her own appearance, in the early years of her acting career.
The ‘Fast & Furious actor, who put aside her career after giving birth to her two daughters – Esmeralda Amada Gosling and Amada Lee Gosling in order to raise them on her own, first released a photo of herself that captured 20 years ago and then revealed the truth regarding herself. Alongside the photo, which she released through Instagram as a part of the “20 years challenge,” she wrote that she was not thinking she was beautiful even though millions of people were adoring her.
The actor, who has been cited as “one of the world’s most beautiful Latin women” by multiple media outlets, wrote the following message as a caption:
“Just came across this picture from a movie that was almost 20 years ago. I remember seeing this photo back then and thinking my face looked weird and that my bone structure was odd …yadda yadda ..you know all those insecurities that a 26-year-old can have.”
Then the wifey of well-known Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling mentioned that how much her perception regarding herself has changed throughout the years. According to what she stated in the caption section, she now wishes she still had that face.
“Meanwhile 20 years later and now I wish I still had that weird face and odd bone structure. Why’s my point? I’m not sure. Maybe it’s if you hate a photo of yourself wait 20 years then you’ll love it.”
The star, who has been named as one of 2011’s Most Beautiful at Every Age by People magazine concluded her words with a quote from legendary writer Oscar Wilde: “Youth is wasted on the young.”
