Evangeline Lilly went to her verified Instagram account with an update regarding the upcoming Marvel film, ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.’
Lily, who gained millions of fans for starring in groundbreaking TV & film projects including ‘Lost,’ ‘The Hurt Locker,’ and ‘The Hobbit‘ film series, as known is gearing up to reprise her role as ‘Hope van Dyne / Wasp‘ in the newest ‘Ant-Man‘ franchise. On May 10, she took to her Instagram and released a video of herself while exercising, and revealed that she is trying her best to handle the role after the accident she had a few years ago.
Underneath the video, in which she is seen while doing exercises with the help of a stretching band, the Screen Actors Guild Award-winning star wrote the following message as a caption:
“After two years of illness, injury and slow and gentle recovery, it is time, once again, for me to turn my sights back to Wasp.”
As fans might remember, the well-known actor revealed back in 2018 that both of her forearms had been injured because of an accident on the set of the fan-favorite series ‘Lost.’ At that time, she stated that there were open wounds and added that she was looking like a “mutant.” During her interview, the star also accused a stunt coordinator by saying:
“I felt it was him saying, ‘I’m going to put you in your place for standing up to me. It was either cow to his power or hurt myself. I was in my twenties then. Now, I would probably back down.”
After referring to this accident, Lilly heralded that she would be ready for her role very soon; she wrote:
“Quantumania here I come...even if I have to hobble to get there!”
According to the latest updates, the film, starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton, and Jonathan Majors alongside Lilly, will be released in the United States on February 17, 2023.
