Evangeline Lilly Says Being Parents Is Literally An Impossible Job: “We Are Given Two Broken Grown-Up Kids To Be Our Guides”

Ant-Man‘ star Evangeline Lilly went to her verified Instagram account with a highly inspiring message; on April 8, the actor, gained international fame for starring in legendary TV series ‘Lost,’ released a painting by Ko Byung Jun and explained her thoughts regarding becoming parents.

Lilly, who is gearing up to reprise her role in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,’ first wrote that “growing up hurts” and wrote that being a perfect mother & father is impossible because all we are humans. By getting inspiration from the lonely girl in the painting, Lilly wrote:

“We are little unconditional beings who enter into a very conditional world and we are given two broken grown-up kids to be our guides. Their job is to prepare us for the billions of conditions we will meet out there everyday, more and more as we get older, while somehow trying to keep our innocence, joy and love in-tact.”

The mother-of-two concluded her message by encouraging her fans and followers to “have a lot of grace” for their family members; in her own words:

“This is literally an impossible job. We all attempt this impossible task differently and should have a lot of grace for each other and for ourselves when it comes to the ways we fall-short.”

As known, defended that parenthood is an impossible job, Lilly welcomed her first child, a son, in 2011 with the ‘Hobbit‘ star Norman Kali. After 4 years, the famous couple had their second child, another son.
