‘Fallout’s Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner say they are working hard to release Season 2 as soon as possible.
The showrunners told The Hollywood Reporter that they are moving quickly thanks to many assets from Season 1 already being completed:
“I’m hesitant to give a date that will be taken out of context and live on Reddit for a year or so. But we are going as fast as we possibly can, and we’ve got a lot of heavy lifting from Season 1 already done. We have sets, assets, and visual effects, that are already done. We are hitting the ground running this season. We’re going to pedal to the metal to get season two out as fast as humanly possible.”
Robertson-Dworet and Wagner are hopeful that Season 2 will come out soon. They are also considering making up to five seasons after the success of the first season. They plan to include some elements in Season 2 that didn’t fit into the first season.
The Season Finale Had a Cliffhanger
Season 1 finale ended with Hank MacLean escaping to New Vegas, and his daughter joined The Ghoul to track him down. Bethesda’s Todd Howard confirmed that New Vegas would be included in Season 2. He promises that the show will stay true to the ‘Fallout: New Vegas’ game:
“Season two is going to be featuring some of New Vegas and we’re careful about maintaining the key events of that game and the great content in it. It is obviously difficult to deal with… when you’re going back to an area where a game had multiple endings, we have some answers there but it’s hard.”
Fallout premiered on Prime Video in April and gained a large following after its release. As per THR, production for Season 2 has moved from New York to California, which means less worry about grey skies during filming.
