Famke Janssen Wants A Female James Bond And Nominates Herself For The Role

The search for the next James Bond is still on, and the ‘Boy Kills World’ actress is up for the role.

Famke Janssen played Xenia Onatopp opposite Pierce Brosnan in the 1995 movie ‘GoldenEye.’ Now, she wants to see a ‘female Bond’ and signs up for the part.

The actress recently told Screen Rant:

“Female Bond, come on! I’m available. Time for a female.”

Female Bond Is Possible

Talks about a female 007 have been around for a while now. Susan Hayward was considered for the role in 1967’s ‘Casiona Royale,’ according to Nicholas Shakespeare’s ‘Ian Fleming: The Complete Man’ book, but the plans were scrapped.

Lashana Lynch became the first woman to hold the title in 2021’s ‘No Time To Die.’ As of now, it is still not clear who will be next to play the British spy after Daniel Craig.

There Are Actors Considered For The Role

Recent rumors suggested that Aaron Taylor-Johnson accepted the offer to be James Bond, but Taylor-Johnson or EON Productions didn’t confirm them. Still, previous 007 actors approved his possible casting.

Janssen’s co-star, Pierce Brosnan, said on RTÉ Radio 1’s ‘The Ray D’Arcy Show’:

“I think the man has the chops and the talent and the charisma to play Bond, very much so.”

Meanwhile, Taylor-Johnson’s new film, ‘The Fall Guy,’ hit the theaters.
