Fantastic Four Wrap Party Goes Viral: Pedro Pascal Drops Hint At Secret Cameo

Phase Six’s first movie finished filming after five months in late November.

A video, showing a mysterious figure covered with a blanket being rushed past the camera on set of ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps,’ recently went viral on the internet. Further stirring the pot, Pedro Pascal posted a photo from the movie’s wrap party with a similarly hidden person, whose face was covered with a crown emoji.

Rumors suggest the said actor might be Robert Downey Jr., who re-joined the MCU as Doctor Doom past summer and is set to appear in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’ Downey’s possible introduction in a brief scene in ‘The Fantastic Four’ was a point of discussion since his comeback announcement, though nothing is yet confirmed.

Anticipation is high for the official trailer, while several leaked versions from events like SDCC and D23 are circulating online. The film will be The Fantastic Four’s first appearance as a team in the MCU with Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm.

There will be other new faces, including Julia Garner as the Shala-Bal version of the Silver Surfer and Ralph Ineson as Galactus, the story’s main antagonist. While Natasha Lyonne’s role remains undisclosed, there are whispers that John Malkovich will play Ivan Kragoff/Red Ghost.

According to Kevin Feige, ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ will take place in an alternate universe, but the team’s path will likely lead to the main timeline in the end because they are set to show up in the upcoming ‘Avengers’ movies.

Directed by Matt Shakman, the reboot will see release on July 25, 2025.
