The filming of ‘Thunderbolts*’ concluded in mid-June. The cast recently attended this year’s San Diego Comic-Con to discuss their experiences on set and gave a preview of what the film will bring.
The preview’s recaps showed a fight scene between Wyatt Russell’s U.S. Agent and Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova at the panel. Pugh mentioned doing her own stunts during a red carpet chat with Deadline:
“I think, whenever you sign on to a production that’s as big as Marvel, which is all about fitness and being someone that is put in situations that normal people aren’t in, it’s within you to want to push yourself and want to be able to do at least some of it.”

Marvel Villains And Anti-Heroes Are Back
‘Thunderbolts*’ is set for release in May 2025. It is directed by Jake Schreier from a screenplay by Eric Pearson, Lee Sung Jin, and Joanna Calo.
The cast features Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
The Phase 5 movie pulls its story from the Marvel Comics series of the same name, where the government hires villains and anti-heroes for dangerous missions by offering them pardons in return.
