Freya Allan Promises A ‘Dark Turn’ For Ciri In ‘The Witcher’ Season 4

Allan has hinted at a dramatic turn for her character in the upcoming season.

In a recent conversation with RadioTimes.com, Freya Allan revealed her insights about the upcoming season of ‘The Witcher,’ including a dark turn in Princess Cirilla of Cintra’s character arc.

As anticipation builds for the fourth season of Netflix’s ‘The Witcher,’ Allan hinted at a shift in Cirilla’s arc. The actress, who has been a part of the cast since 2019, shared that she has already had a glimpse of the script for Season 4:

“I’m honestly just intrigued how they’re going to translate that story from the books because it’s… for Ciri’s journey, it’s a very pivotal moment in her storyline and takes quite a dark turn.”

‘The Witcher’ Universe Continues to Expand

The upcoming season will see a change with Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia, a role previously played by Henry Cavill. Additionally, the show will also welcome Laurence Fishburne, who joins the cast as Regis, a character well-known to fans of the Witcher books and games.

The third season was released in two parts in 2023, and fans can now look forward to the fourth season, which is expected to begin production in March this year.

In addition to the main series, ‘The Witcher’ universe will also include an animated feature. Named ‘The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep,’ it is scheduled for release later in 2024. Freya Allan’s career also continues with new projects. In 2023, she was cast in ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ as Mae.
