‘Furiosa’ Director Gives Green Light To Directing New Thor Movie

George Miller may be joining the Marvel Universe to direct ‘Thor 5.’

‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’ director George Miller says he can direct the next ‘Thor’ film.

In a recent interview with ComicBook, Miller shared his thoughts on working with Chris Hemsworth. ‘Thor 5’ is still looking for a director, but fans are hopeful that Miller will take on the job after the following statements:

“I would work with Chris on anything. I really would. He’s a wonderful actor. He’s got the full range of all the skills. I mean, you’ve got to be athletic, physically. But, you also gotta be athletic emotionally and intellectually to take on these very, ultimately fairly complex, any role really. So, I was very lucky with all my cast and particularly in the way that Anya and Chris matched each other.”

Hemsworth Likes Working With Him As Well

Hemsworth also praised Miller’s work on ‘Furiosa’ and how detailed and careful he is when making a movie. The ‘Thor’ actor said that Miller plans every part of the movie so that everything you see is important and adds to the story:

“What was refreshing working with George is that every frame was thought out. Every single frame was necessary; it was servicing the whole. It was part of a grander plan and a message, and so there was no waste. Everything you see is essential, and means something, and supports the characters’ journey, the narrative, the overall arc of the film, and it was exhausting in the best way.”

‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’ will be out this summer. There is no official word on who will direct ‘Thor 5.’ If Miller does it, it would be his first time directing a film for Marvel.
