Gabrielle Union Pays Homage To Her Late ‘Cradle 2 the Grave’ Co-Star DMX: “How To Describe What You Meant To Me”

Loss of well-known rapper DMX casted a pall upon celebs world; so much so that a great number of notable names jumped into their social media account to pay homage to the late star, who passed away on April 9, due to multiple organ failure.

As one of these names, Hollywood star Gabrielle Union was quick to express her sorrow over the death of the legendary rapper. On April 9, Union posted a photo from the 2003 dated film, ‘Cradle 2 the Grave‘ where the duo starred together, and added a lengthy caption that begins as follows:

“I was praying I wouldn’t have to think about how to describe what you meant to me. We bonded over our shared love of dogs, cold beers, Golden Girls reruns, New Edition and adventures. From random nights of go-karting in the hills of Sherman Oaks to bowling to just sitting in your trailer laughing with @anthonyanderson talking 80s soul music.”

Union continued her message devoted to her co-star and friend by mentioning the days they spent with their beloved dogs and remembered the cherished moments. She went on saying as follows:

You introduced me to the @ruffryders and @therealswizzz who have always treated me like family over the last 20 plus years. You introduced me to the @defjam family that remains family to this day.”

Stating that ‘It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot’ rapper always made the time to look out for folks, Union concluded her words as follows:

I am forever grateful for your joy, your laugh, your protection all these years, and your hugs anytime I’ve seen you. You are 1 of 1. Rest in eternal peace, my friend. Rest.”

Apart from the ‘Being Mary Jane’ actor, a great number of Hollywood stars including Jamie Foxx, flooded the social media platforms to mourn the death of the rapper, who also featured many films and soundtrack albums.
