One of the world’s highest-paid actors, Gal Gadot got candid about the tough days she experienced ahead of having been cast for ‘Wonder Woman.’
On February 22, Gadot, best known for her portrayal of ‘Diana Prince & Wonder Woman,’ jumped into her social media account and posted a black and white TBT shot of herself. In addition to the photo, taken by Zack Snyder for a camera test for ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice‘ released a lengthy message.
The actor, who rose to fame internationally for her role as ‘Gisele Yashar,’ in 2009 dated ‘Fast & Furious,’ stated in her message that she would have quitted acting in case she had not been booked for the superhero film based on the DC Comics characters.
Gadot first mentioned the conditions she was in during the camera test:
“I came to LA for 30 hours while shooting a movie in Tel Aviv. But I wanted the role of Wonder Woman so much that it was worth the trip. I’ll forever be grateful to Zack for casting me and believing that I could bring Diana to life.”
After showing her gratitude for the filmmaker, best known for his groundbreakings works such as ‘Aquaman,’ ‘The Suicide Squad,’ and ‘Sucker Punch,’ Gadot expressed that taking this role turned her career into another way.
“I had no idea what the future would hold back when this picture was taken – seeing it makes me very nostalgic. It’s also proof that everything happens for a reason. I was on the verge of giving up acting… and then this happened. ✨”
