British actor Lena Headey, best known for her portrayal of ‘Cersei Lannister‘ on HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ series, popped a piece of great news through her verified Instagram account.
Headey shared first look at the action thriller film, ‘Gunpowder Milkshake‘, and declared the release date of the highly anticipated movie, directed by Navot Papushado. The actor posted three never-seen-photos from the film, and added a caption that reads:
“First lil’ look at @gunpowdermilkshake movie…”
And then tagged the stars of the film to said post, including Karen Gillan, Angela Bassett, Paul Giamatti, Michelle Yeoh, and Carla Gugino. The actor also revealed the film will be released in 2021. As fans might remember, in February, STX Entertainment has already purchased the distribution rights to the film, produced by Alex Heineman and Andrew Rona.
‘Gunpowder Milkshake’ focuses on three generations of female assassins who committed themselves to “stop a cycle of violence.” The official description of the movie, on the IMDB website, is as follows:
“A secret sisterhood comes to the rescue of a mother-daughter assassin team.”
It seems the action film fans need to wait until 2021 to watch that film, whose storyline is totally female-centered.
