Actor Peter Dinklage, who gained international recognition for playing ‘Tyrion Lannister‘ on the HBO television series ‘Game of Thrones,’ urged people so as to speak out against Trophy Hunter.
Dinklage, the recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award, Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award, took to his verified Instagram account and released a couple of photos showing how cruel trophy hunting is. Underneath the photos showing deathly injured animals, the well-known actor stated:
“Trophy hunting is hunting of wild animals as trophies, with the whole or parts of the animal kept as a trophy as a reminder of the kill. The pictures above show distressing pain these animals go through.”
Dinklage, who has been garnered praises for his performance in the Netflix hit ‘I Care A Lot,’ continued his message as follows:
“+125,000 animals are brutally killed each year by trophy hunters. This cruel sport is pushing species to the brink of extinction. The aim of hunters is to kill animals with superior genetic characteristics, which is the animal that contributes to the adaptation and survival of the species.”
The award-winning star concluded his words by informing his fans and followers regarding how they can help to end trophy hunting:
“We are raising money from each t-shirt sold and donating to charities that oppose trophy hunting, to help keep their campaigns running and get us closer to this horror ending. These charities work continuously with an effort to end this!”
