George Clooney and Brad Pitt joined a new chat with GQ to discuss their new film, ‘Wolfs.’ Clooney shared his ‘irritation’ with Quentin Tarantino’s words about his acting, as well.
“Quentin said some shit about me recently, so I’m a little irritated by him,” he said. “He did some interview where he was naming movie stars, and he was talking about [Pitt] and somebody else, and then this [interviewer] goes, ‘Well, what about George?’ He goes, ‘He’s not a movie star.’ And then he literally said something like, ‘Name me a movie since the millennium.’”
It’s unclear which specific interview the actor was referring to, but it’s likely the one with Deadline held at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023.
Tarantino named several actors he thought were true movie stars like Julia Roberts and Leonardo DiCaprio during the chat. “Well, it’s been a long while since I think George Clooney has drawn anybody to an audience,” he then added. “When was his last hit where he drew an audience?”
George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino starred together in 1996’s ‘From Dusk Till Dawn,’ which the latter also wrote. More recently, Clooney teamed up with Jon Watts for the upcoming ‘Wolfs.’ The film will see release this September.
