Well-known Hollywood star Gerard Butler spread a piece of good news through his verified Instagram account, on December 11.
First, the ‘Olympus Has Fallen‘ actor announced that the second official trailer for the upcoming disaster film ‘Greenland‘ has been arrived, and second he heralded that the film would hit the theatres and streaming platforms on December 18.
Along with the trailer, in which the actor is seen as the father of a family, who tries to survive in a world destroyed by an interstellar comet, “Clarke,” Butler wrote:
“I KNOW you’re all as excited to meet John Garrity as I am to introduce you. December 18th, baby! Get ready for the action, #GreenlandMovie is coming to your way on-demand everywhere.💥”
In the film, directed by Ric Roman Waugh and written by Chris Sparling, Morena Baccarin (as wife ‘Allison Garrity’), Roger Dale Floyd (as son ‘Nathan Garrity’), Scott Glenn (as Allison’s father ‘Dale’), David Denman (as ‘Ralph Vento’), Hope Davis (as ‘Judy Vento’) and Andrew Bachelor (as ‘Colin’) appear alongside Butler, who plays ‘John Garrity.’
The film, which was wrapped in 2019, has been delayed multiple times due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was previously scheduled to be theatrically released on June 12, 2020, however, it was postponed to December 2020.
‘Greenland’ will be available to watch through HBO Max and Amazon Prime in addition to limited theatrical release.
