Recent rumors claimed that Giancarlo Esposito would lead a new Disney+ TV series for Marvel. Esposito confirmed the reports during a recent convention and shared with the audience:
“The MCU has knocked on my door and it’s a role you won’t predict. It will be teased and there will be a series afterwards.”
This statement debunked the previous theories that he would voice Norman Osborn in the upcoming ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,’ as there is no plan to introduce the animated show’s villain before its release.
He May Be The Ruler Of Latveria
Giancarlo Esposito might have been cast as Doctor Doom in the upcoming ‘The Fantastic Four,’ though. Some news hinted earlier that Marvel would introduce the villain in a post-credits scene and later give him his own series just as the actor mentioned.
Esposito himself commented on the rumor when a fan said he would be ‘excellent’ for the Doom role:
“Talking it into existence and making yourself believe in it.”
The New Marvel Team And Their Enemies Are Good To Go
Doctor Doom’s future in the MCU is unclear at the moment, but Galactus is confirmed to make his debut in ‘The Fantastic Four.’ Ralph Ineson will play the cosmic entity opposite Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn.
Jennifer Garner will appear as Galactus’ herald Shalla-Bal aka The Silver Surfer. Paul Walter-Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne will join them in undisclosed roles.
The film will premiere on July 25, 2025.
