Giancarlo Esposito Confirms MCU Role After Controversial Remarks On Professor X

He is promising an exciting debut.

Giancarlo Esposito announces he is finally joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As per Collider, Esposito said he will play a new character that Marvel created just for him. He didn’t tell much about this new role, but he did say we will see him on the big screen ‘sooner rather than later.’ He also promised it will be a great surprise.

Fans Thought He’d Play Professor X

Esposito was fan-casted as X-Men’s Professor X, but he said he didn’t want to play him if it meant he had to sit in a wheelchair all the time. He explained that he didn’t want to be sitting down so much because it would make him feel old.

Professor X has always been in a wheelchair, and this is an important part of his story. Esposito did say he liked the character and could see himself playing Professor X in a different way that didn’t involve a wheelchair.

Esposito is going to be back in ‘The Boys’. His latest series ‘Parish’ is also finishing up this weekend.
