Giancarlo Esposito Hypes Up ‘The Boys’ Final Season: ‘Expect No Less’

We can look forward to big twists and emotional farewells.

‘The Boys’ is set to end with its upcoming fifth and final season, and it seems we can expect an intense conclusion.

Giancarlo Esposito recently talked about what fans can expect from the final season. He hints that it will go out with a bang.

Esposito, who plays Stan Edgar in the series, spoke to Deadline while attending the Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday. He called the final season “explosive” and told fans not to expect anything less. “I think it’s going to be a whirlwind season,” he said. “Every show that comes to an end has an explosive ending in its final season, and ‘The Boys’ is just such a very outrageous show, but also reflective of the world we live in now. When superheroes have the power to not only save us, but to harm us, that’s an interesting show.”

Esposito also shared his love for ‘The Boys’ and added that he believes everyone can be a superhero if they live their lives in a certain way. He said, “I love it because I believe that we are all superheroes. I believe that inside of us all, if you’re able to think differently, will unlock a hidden power that we all have. So, I’m convinced that the way to do that is to impact people in a way that gives them love, but also uplifts them, and also affirms their self-determination to be the best human beings they can be.”

‘The Boys’ creator Eric Kripke also spoke about the upcoming season. He confirmed that Season 5 will be the most shocking one yet, and fans should be prepared for major character deaths. Kripke said that there’s no need to keep many characters alive as the show is ending.

‘The Boys’ is available for streaming on Prime Video.
