Disney let go of Gina Carano in 2021 due to her controversial social media posts. Carano discussed the company’s attempts to get the lawsuit over her firing dismissed during her recent appearance on the Shawn Ryan Show on YouTube.
“Satan’s made these globalists believe that they can play god and that they are their own gods and it’s just a horrible, ugly thing that they are using and that they will use until, you know, the end,” she shared.
The actress faced backlash when she criticized the use of transgender-friendly pronouns and compared the current political environment to that of Nazi Germany. Disney and Lucasfilm publicly slammed her comments as ‘abhorrent and unacceptable.’
“I understand,” she noted. “I grew up a tomboy. I understand that things are different and people are going through things. It’s a very well-written thing, it’s just I don’t worship your business. And my God is bigger than Disney. So this is where I am at.”
Carano sued Disney by saying her firing from ‘The Mandalorian’ was discriminatory. The company asked the lawsuit to be dismissed as they had the right to choose their collaborators for the sake of their policies. Despite the attempt, the court set a trial date on September 25, 2025.
The actress listed potential witnesses for her trial last month. The names included ‘The Mandalorian’ co-star Pedro Pascal, series creator Jon Favreau, former Disney CEO Bob Chapek, adventurer Bear Grylls, and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy.
