Naya Rivera, gaining a big reputation for the role of ‘Santana Lopez’ on the Fox TV series ‘Glee’ went missing on July 8 at Lake Piru, as might be remembered. She was declared as missing after her 4-year-old son was found alone around the lake.
According to what authorities said, Naya Rivera and her son went to the lake and rented a pontoon. When the boat was overdue for return, a rental employee found the boat, and her son, but not Rivera.
Although Rivera’s body has not found yet, The Ventura County Officials stated they presume she is dead.
Deputy Chris Dyer made the following announcement regarding the issue:
“We’re presuming that an accident happened and we’re presuming she drowned in the lake. The goal is still to bring Miss Rivera home to her family.”
Dyer also told that search and rescue efforts turned into a recovery operation.
Then a spokesman for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, Kevin Donoghue said the followings and expressed his sorrow over the missing:
“Our hearts and our prayers and thoughts go out to the Rivera family. This is a terrible tragedy for all of them and we hope to bring closure for that family.”
