Italian actor Giacomo Gianniotti, best known for portraying ‘Dr. Andrew DeLuca‘ in the medical drama series ‘Grey’s Anatomy‘ went to his verified Instagram account both to announce that the episode of the series that he directed hit the ABC and asked producers and filmmakers for some other “directing job.”
Seemingly is into directing, the actor released a series of photos of himself at the set of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’s where he was working as the director and revealed that the art he worked so hard on is “finally out for the world to enjoy.”
The actor, who recently left the series after the ‘DeLuca’ passed away, wrote the following message as a caption:
“Thanks to everyone at @greysabc for the tremendous trust you put in me. Especially my amazing unicorn mentor @therealdebbieallen your friendship means the world to me. Thank you to @steve_fracol my DP extraordinaire who helped me light and realize my vision.”
The young actor and new director continued his message by thanking the writer of the series, Julie Wong for giving him “such a great script full of love, and strength, and heart.” Gianniotti went on saying:
“And lastly thank you to my crew. My grips, my electrics, my focus pullers, cam ops and dolly pushers. Each and everyone on set worked their ass off to make each day. And you are all in every single frame. We did this together and it was an honor to create along side you all. This has all been a dream I can’t stop replaying.”
Then the ‘Medicina Generale‘ actor concluded his Instagram caption by expressing that he is looking for new career options:
“If you liked what you saw and your a fellow filmmaker or producer. Holler at your boy! Always love.”
