American medical drama television series ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ set to premiere for season 17 on November 12, 2020.
The series, with a total of 38 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, returns to TV with its new & strong cast: Ellen Pompeo as ‘Dr. Meredith Grey,’ Chandra Wilson as ‘Dr. Miranda Bailey,’ James Pickens Jr. as ‘Dr. Richard Webber,’ Kevin McKidd as ‘Dr. Owen Hunt,’ Jesse Williams as ‘Dr. Jackson Avery’ and Caterina Scorsone as ‘Dr. Amelia Shepherd.’
According to what showrunner Krista Vernoff said in an interview, season 17, which will be produced by ABC Signature will address the COVID-19 pandemic. She also spoke to Entertainment Weekly and stated by addressing ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘Station 19:’
“Those shows are on the same timeline, they exist in the same universe, they’re three blocks apart in Seattle. The pandemic exists on Station 19 as well, but it looks and feels different on Station 19 because it’s not a hospital so the protocols are different and everyone doesn’t have to be in masks and PPE all the time. It’s a little different.”
Besides, the two series will come together for a crossover premiere event.
