‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Star Giacomo Gianniotti Announces Pixar’s ‘Luca’ Is Out Now: “It Has Been My Dream To Be A Part Of”

Italian actor Giacomo Gianniotti, who has been under media spotlight since he quitted from the fan-favorite medical series ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ took to his verified Instagram account the other day so as to express his satisfaction with being a part of a Pixar movie.

Gianniotti, who gained international fame for starring as ‘Dr. DeLuca‘ in the said series, released a couple of photos of himself with his wifey, from the premiere of the highly-expected animation ‘Luca,’ held at The El Capitan Theatre. Alongside the photos, the Italian actor wrote:

“Since the first time, I saw a Disney, Pixar film. It has been my dream to be apart of one. Apart of the magic that transpires when animation transports a child to another dimension through, color, music, and storytelling. Sitting in a theatre and hearing my voice on a character in the film was an emotional experience for sure.”

As fans already know, the actor voiced ‘Giacomo’ in the film, which has been released through DisneyPlus as of the date of June 18. Gianniotti, who thanked both Pixar and DisneyPlus for having him, continued his message by director Enrico Casarosa who “worked tirelessly to make a film that represented Italian culture in an authentic and real way, that didn’t dissolve into stereotypes and cliches.:

“To everyone involved in this film huge congratulations, but nobody more than our incredible director Enrico Casarosa who created this story from fragments of his Italian childhood translated it to screen with masterful precision.”

Starring the voices of Jacob Tremblay, Jack Dylan Grazer, Emma Berman, Marco Barricelli, Saverio Raimondo, Maya Rudolph, and Jim Gaffigan alongside him, the film is now streaming on Disney+.
