The rankings sparked reactions, particularly from fans of Robbie, who voiced their disappointment on social media. They suggested (via All Chronology) that the decision to rank Bailey higher might have been influenced by a push for more inclusivity. This sentiment was similar to the public’s response to the Black actress’ casting in ‘The Little Mermaid.’
As 2024 came to a close, TC Candler released their updated beauty list, which saw Robbie falling to 95th place and Bailey not featured at all. Despite these changes, the list maintained a diverse profile, especially highlighting Asian celebrities.
