Halle Berry Wished Ryan Reynolds To Offer Her Storm Cameo In Deadpool & Wolverine But He Never Did

Halle Berry hoped Ryan Reynolds would give her a cameo as Storm in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ but he didn’t.

At the premiere of ‘The Union’ speaking to ComicBook, Halle Berry revealed that she was asked to play Storm again in the ‘Deadpool’ movies, but not by Ryan Reynolds.

“Blake [Lively] asked me one time, I ran into her at a Marc Jacobs fashion show, and she said, ‘Would you ever be in my husband’s movie as Storm?’ I said, ‘Yeah, if he asked me,’ but he never asked me,” the actress stated.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ has been out for a few weeks and surprised fans with its action and Marvel cameos. Some thought Berry might return as Storm because Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine, is in the movie. Berry posted a photo with a new Storm hairstyle, which added to the rumors. But she confirmed she’s not in the film.

There were rumors that Taylor Swift might appear as Dazzler in the film, but director Shawn Levy said this wasn’t true. He explained that Swift was ‘never in talks’ to be in the movie.

“I definitely had moments where I was worried I would disappoint people when they realized Taylor as Dazzler was not in the movie, but there’s no controlling the internet, and rumors spread like wildfire,” the director said. “It was never a conversation. It was never even a seed of a discussion.”

Levy continued, “Obviously, Ryan [Reynolds] and Blake [Lively], and myself, to a far lesser extent, have our own relationships in real life with Taylor. But, yeah, those rumors were loud and slightly baffling, but nothing I said or did was going to make them quiet down until this movie came out.”

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ set a new record for the biggest R-rated movie opening, making $205 million in North America. It has earned $438.3 million worldwide and has now made over $1 billion.
