HBO’s ‘Bad Education’ Wins Emmy For Outstanding Television Movie

The crime comedy-drama film directed by Cory Finley and written by Mike Makowsky, ‘Bad Education’ received an award for Outstanding Television Movie at the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards.

The TV film, whose story is based on the largest public school embezzlement in American history, is starred by Hugh Jackman, Allison Janney, Geraldine Viswanathan, Alex Wolff, Rafael Casal, Stephen Spinella, Annaleigh Ashford, and Ray Romano.

‘Bad Education’ had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8 and its TV premiere on HBO on April 25.

Regarding the great news, Hugh Jackman, who also received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Leader Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his work on the film, took to Instagram and wrote alongside the official movie poster:

“Congratulations to the entire cast and crew of Bad Education!! Proud to have been part of it. Outstanding TV Movie. #emmyawards”

As for writer Mike Makowsky, shared the following message through Instagram before released the news about the Emmy victory:

“HOLY S**T congrats to the whole Bad Education team on our two Emmy noms!!!!

The 72nd Primetime Emmys will air on September 20 on ABC at 8 p.m.
