Henry Cavill, portraying ‘Superman’ in the DC Extended Universe, showed off how he was training for his role as ‘Geralt of Rivia’ in the Netflix fantasy series ‘The Witcher,’ based on the book series of the same name by Andrzej Sapkowski.
Cavill, recently played ‘Sherlock Holmes’ in the Netflix’s ‘Enola Holmes’ posted a photo of himself running around the Lake District in the United Kingdom, and revealed the secret of ‘Witcher’ training.
“Witcher training focuses on three major aspects….speed, explosive power, and fitness. Which can hurt!”
Cavill continued by saying that he had not the opportunity to run for miles uphill since Gibraltar many years ago and added:
“But there is no better place to get back into that groove than the Lake District here at home in the UK. This place has just stormed into my top 3 favorite places in the world! Absolutely love it. #LakeDistrict #Witcher2”
Cavill, who has one of the most dependable hardbodies among Hollywood actors, shared his entire physical journey with his fans & followers with a series of photos and videos before. In an Instagram post, the actor revealed his ‘Witcher’ routine that starts with a fasted cardio and continues with hitting the weights. He also said through the same post:
“My physical journey over the years has been an interesting one, with plenty of pitfalls and plenty of moments of reward. I’ve been reflecting on them a lot recently and I’ve been very fortunate to work with some fantastic minds. I’m thankful to them all.”
Also, ‘The Witcher’ in which Cavill portrays a magically enhanced monster-hunter, is set to release for a second eight-episode season, in 2021, according to Netflix’s announcement that came earlier this month.
