New images from ‘The Umbrella Academy’ Season 4 are just released.
In the new photos shared by Entertainment Weekly, the siblings are standing beside Diego’s (David Castañeda) van named ‘Wanda.’ They appear to be in a tense situation with Lila (Ritu Arya). Cha-Cha’s iconic pink mask from Season 1 can be seen left on the roadside. Another image shows Viktor (Elliot Page) looking wide-eyed and shocked as he stares into the distance.
The Hargreeves siblings are now living in a new timeline. Sir Reginald Hargreeves reprogrammed the interdimensional machine after narrowly escaping Kugelblitz. He restored the universe and healed the siblings from their injuries, but this cost them their superpowers. The siblings are now trying to figure out how to live normal lives without their special abilities.

Season 4 Comes With New Characters
Season 4 will open with the first episode titled ‘The Unbearable Tragedy of Getting What You Want.’ It introduces new characters Dr. Jean and Gene Thibedeau, played by Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman. They are a seemingly mild-mannered Midwestern couple who are willing to pay $5,000 for a VHS tape of one of Allison’s movies, ‘Love on Loan.’
Showrunner Steve Blackman explains the biggest challenge for the siblings:
“The first place I started with season 4 was: What happens if you were once a superhero and then suddenly you’re not? What does that do to you? Not only as an individual but what is the family dynamic when suddenly they find themselves normal? I think it’s a challenge for all of them. What might’ve brought them together initially is the fact that, as a dysfunctional family, they found some connection in their abilities. With those superpowers stripped away, who are they as a family?”
According to Justin H. Min, this season promises to answer all the fan questions and bring closure to the story.
‘The Umbrella Academy’s new season will premiere on August 8, and it will be the last one to wrap up the series with six episodes.
