Joe Biden is the 46th President of the United States.
Once the news officially announced regarding Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris‘ victory, a good number of Hollywood actors, many of whom had shown their support for the former Democrat candidates before the election, took to social media without delay to celebrate.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, best known for her portrayal of ‘Elaine Benes’ on the sitcom ‘Seinfield,’ wrote on Twitter that “Madam Vice President” is a real-life character now, by referring that Harris is the first female vice president in the United States history.
What’s more, actor Viola Davis, who was encouraging people to vote for Biden and Harris at every turn through social media posts, showed off her excitement about the historical victory by writing on Twitter:
“Woooooohooooo!!!!!! PHILLY!!!!! AMERICA!!!!!! BLACK FOLK!!!! BLACK PEOPLE!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!!! Now….let’s fight for that Senate!!!!!!!”
As for Debra Messing retweeted a message from Trump, that says “I WON THIS ELECTION, BY A LOT!” and replied to him simply by saying that he did not.
Elizabeth Banks, who is one of the celebrities vocal her support for Biden and Harris since day one, also took to Twitter. She wrote that she is so relieved, and added that she is crying at the thought of Harris as the first African American Vice President of the US.
Banks was not the only one crying with happiness.’This is Us’ star, Mandy Moore said that she is in tears while celebrating the news. She continued by saying that she is grateful to all voters, poll workers, and everyone who made this happen. The actor described the win as historic and congratulated Biden and Harris.
Also, ‘Scandal’ actor Kerry Washington uploaded a photo of Biden and Harris together, and added a message that reads:
“The people have spoken! Thank you to everyone who used your vote and your voice to make history. PRESIDENT Joe Biden and VICE PRESIDENT Kamala Harris.”
