In one of his recent Instagram posts, Hugh Jackman shared a new training video signaling his return as Wolverine in the upcoming ‘Deadpool 3.’
Jackman previously hung up his Wolverine claws with the release of ‘Logan’ in 2017. The video, showing the actor lifting weights, comes with a caption:
“No days off – except for tomorrow. #BecomingWolverineAgain”
The actor has often shared his workout experiences before portraying Wolverine. Back in 2021, he shared a picture of himself training for the role again, asking if he ‘looks like in serious pain.’ Last year, he also posted a story describing his physique as a ‘work in progress.’
As reported by GQ, the actor has been getting 8000 calories a day to get in shape.
Latest News About ‘Deadpool 3’
‘Deadpool 3‘ is directed by Shawn Levy and written by a team including Wendy Molyneaux, Lizzie Molyneaux-Loeglin, and original ‘Deadpool’ writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The film also stars Ryan Reynolds, reprising his role as Deadpool, along with Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, and others.
The development of ‘Deadpool 3’ began as early as November 2016, with Marvel Studios later taking over following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox. The production faced a brief hiatus due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike but resumed promptly in November.
Scheduled for release on July 26, 2024, ‘Deadpool 3’ marks the 34th film in the MCU and has an R-rating like its predecessors.
Jackman’s decision to return as Wolverine, announced in August 2022, was a personal choice influenced by the potential for on-screen chemistry with Reynolds. Both actors said that this new chapter will not interfere with the narrative arc of ‘Logan.’
In addition to his reprised role in ‘Deadpool 3,’ Jackman is set to appear in ‘Apostle Paul‘ and is rumored to be cast in ‘The Good Spy.‘
