Marvel just shared some news about Ironheart and how she fits into the big Marvel picture alongside Iron Man.
Riri Williams never met Tony Stark, but it’s clear she looks up to him. Marvel spilled the beans in the new book ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – The Art of the Movie.’ It turns out Riri knows about Stark’s inventions and gets inspired by them:
“Riri is obviously aware of his work… She’s got an RT, which is Stark-like technology, but it’s her own version. So the design shows that there’s a level of influence, but she’s doing things her own way.”
Josh Nizzi helped design her suit for the movie. As per TheDirect, he explained how they made sure the suit reflected Riri’s personality:
“We talked a lot about her personality and her qualities, so I tried to put a lot of that stuff into the suit… She was described as kind of a young, sassy gamer tech nerd, but she was concerned about safety and incorporating hip-hop culture somewhat.”
RDJ Gave Dominique Thorne Advice About Her Role
Dominique Thorne previously said that Robert Downey Jr. gave her some advice:
“He shared a lot about… making sure that Riri is her own person, and all of the things that I can obviously attribute to her existence, and what it means, and what it represents, and what it can offer… Really just in the vein of being authentic to that, and true to that, and nurturing that.”
They had this conversation as Thorne was finishing up her work on the Ironheart series for Disney+. It seems Downey Jr. didn’t give her specific acting tips but encouraged her to bring her own special touch to the role.
‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ is available to watch on Disney+, and ‘Ironheart’ is rumored to air its first episode on September 3 next year.
