The neo-noir fantasy series created by René Echevarria and Travis Beacham started streaming back on August 30, 2019, through Amazon Prime Video. Starring Orlando Bloom, Cara Delevingne, Simon McBurney, Tamzin Merchant, David Gyasi, Andrew Gower, Karla Crome, Arty Froushan, Indira Varma, and Jared Harris, the series received highly favorable comments both from the audiences and critics for its first season.
Of course, Amazon took an action for another season after all these comments; so, back in 2019, the series was renewed for another run. The same year, in November, the production for ‘Carnival Row’ season 2 started. However, the production was halted in March 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
What’s ‘Carnival Row’ Season 2 release date?
After the filming had been halted due to the pandemic, Amazon announced that they decided to continue filming for ‘Carnival Row‘ season 2 in May 2020. Even though there is no official announcement, we know that the filming for the second season was wrapped in August 2020.
When we considered that the filming finished up in August 2020, it is possible to say that the series’ second installment will hit the platform in the last months of this year.
Who is returning to ‘Carnival Row’ season 2?
According to the announcements regarding the cast, we will see main actors Orlando Bloom (as ‘Rycroft ‘Philo’ Philostrate’) and Cara Delevigne (as ‘Vignette Stonemoss‘) in the series the second season. What’s more, Simon McBurney, Tamzin Merchant, David Gyasi, Karla Crome, Arty Froushan, Caroline Ford and Andrew Gower will accompany the actors.
