Jack Black Goes From Battling Devils To Becoming One In ‘Dear Santa’

The movie tells the story of a young boy who sends his Christmas wish list to Santa Claus with a typo, causing the evil Jack Black to arrive and wreak havoc over the holidays.

‘Dear Santa’ is a new Christmas comedy starring Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, and Post Malone. It will be Paramount+’s first original holiday movie. In ‘Dear Santa,’ Jack Black plays a hilarious role as Satan. Known for battling Satan in the hit ‘School of Rock’ film, Jack Black now took on the role of Satan himself in this comedy.

In the movie, a young boy intends to write a letter to ‘Santa Claus,’ but things take a turn when he mistakenly addresses it to ‘Satan Claus’ instead.

Peter and Bobby Farrelly, commonly referred to as the Farrelly brothers, are directing the film. Paramount+ will include ‘Dear Santa’ in its ‘’Tis the Season for Streaming’ collection. It’s a curated lineup of holiday movies, specials, and episodes centered around the festive season. This Jack Black holiday movie will also be available for digital purchase on its release day.

Black is starring in multiple new projects at the moment, including the upcoming ‘Minecraft’ film. This movie is a collaboration between Legendary Pictures, Mojang, and Vertigo Entertainment and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film is directed by Jared Hess, and it features Jason Momoa, Danielle Brooks, Emma Myers, Jennifer Coolidge, Kate McKinnon, and Jemaine Clement in the cast. Black portrays the character Steve, and he revealed that he spent hours playing Minecraft to understand the game’s world and how to be Steve.

Jack Black plays Dewey Finn in ‘School of Rock,’ a struggling rock guitarist who, after being fired from his band, poses as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. Dewey forms a band of fourth-graders after discovering their musical talents to compete in the upcoming Battle of the Bands, hoping to win prize money to pay his rent.
