Well-known comedian Jack Black mourned the loss of his ‘School Of Rock‘ co-star Kevin Clark.
On May 27, the star, who previously appeared in fan-favorite films including ‘Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny,’ ‘The Holiday,’ ‘Be Kind Rewind’ and ‘Year One,’ took to his verified Instagram account in order to lead a tribute to Clark.
As may fans know, Kevin Clark, who portrayed a teen drummer named ‘Freddy Jones’ in the musical-comedy film ‘School Of Rock’ alongside the comedian, passed away back on May 27, after he was hit by a car while he was riding his bicycle. The devastating news was delivered following Chicago Police announcement:
“The bicyclist has been identified as a 32-year-old male. He was pronounced at Illinois Masonic at 2:04 am. The person at fault has not been determined at this time and the crash is under investigation by Area Five Detectives.”
As soon as the news regarding the passing of the 32-year-old actor, who continued to play drums in a series of bands after the film, was broken, Black jumped into his verified Instagram account. Underneath the photo collage, consisting of two photos of the actors together, the comedian wrote the following message as a caption:
“Devastating news. Kevin is gone. Way too soon. Beautiful soul. So many great memories. Heartbroken. Sending love to his family and the whole School of Rock community.”
Jack Black was not the only ‘School Of Rock’ star who paid tribute to Clark. Miranda Cosgrove, who portrayed ‘Summer’ in the said film, also went to her social media accounts in order to release the following message in the memoir of her co-star:
“Stunned and saddened by this news today. The world lost an amazing soul. I’ll always remember your spirit and how kind you were to me. I’ll never forget all the memories. You’ll always be missed Kevin.”
