Actor and producer Jada Pinkett Smith went to Instagram in order to release a piece of great news regarding her acting career. On December 1, Smith, whose husband is famous Will Smith, informed her fans and followers that she would be appearing as ‘Tia Magee‘ in Netflix’s upcoming drama ‘Redd Zone.’
Smith delivered the news by posting a photo collage that includes her and Magee’s shots, with the following words:

‘Redd Zone’ which is based on Tia Magee’s true story, is dedicated to the memory of football player Dominic Redd who has a forceful impact on his community, as Smith wrote in the caption section. In the film produced by Westbrook Studios, ‘The Matrix Revolutions‘ star will portray a single mother – Tia Magee herself – who devotes herself to helping and motivating high school football team “The Bros” after the member of the team, Dominic Redd had been murdered.
Jada Pinkett Smith, who will also produce the film alongside Emmy-nominee Howard Burkons, stated in her Instagram message that she is honored to representing Magee, a “dynamic matriarch.” Then Smith described the story as a “powerful example of how love and dedication from one person changed the lives of so many.”
At the end of the caption, Smith thanked the Maggee family, Netflix, and her own production company Westbrook Studios for the opportunity. As known, Westbrook Studios has been launched in 2019 by founders Will Smith, Miguel Melendez, and Ko Yada alongside Smith.
