British actress and activist Jameela Jamil goes on to raise awareness on social issues.
‘The Good Place’ actress took to her Instagram and made a written statement, regarding Breonna Taylor and all the women who were treated poorly, and demanded justice more time.
Jamil began as follows:
“How little Breonna Taylor has been discussed and how little justice has been sought out in her honor is all the proof anyone who doubts this, would need…”
The former radio host of ‘The Official Chart’ who has been supporting the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement since it began, continued:
“That the lives of Black women are devastating, deemed less valuable in our society. And the justice system is relying on this being true in order to long out the prosecution of her murders. It is on us to prove them wrong.”
The actress, describing herself as a feminist, concluded her words as follows:
“Her life mattered. As do the lives of all of the Black cis and trans women taken, justice as they deserve when they are harmed/murdered.”
She also captioned the photo that read the above-mentioned statement, and just wrote:
“Keep saying her name.”
